AI design has always been a little “meh”…until now.

If you’ve ever asked an AI tool for a design, you know the routine. You get a beautiful image, then realize you can’t change the headline, move the logo or resize it for Instagram without starting over. Coco Labs set out to fix exactly that, and we’re thrilled to see Vyb out in the world. Vyb creates finished designs as separate, editable layers, with live text, individual objects and your brand’s actual colors and fonts. You can open the file in the tools you already love, tweak one piece and leave the rest just as it was. Behind it is a team from Google Brain, DeepMind and YouTube who helped build some of Google’s earliest generative image and video models.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with the Coco Labs team leading up to launch. As designers, we spend a lot of time fixing AI output that looks great but can’t be edited, so Vyb solves a problem we know firsthand. As with a lot of KBD clients, the product is still early, but you can get on the waitlist today in Vyb Studio, and a design API is on the way for platforms that want to build Vyb into their own products.
